"One of my BHF employees is an ABE graduate. Her name is Sophia (Mie Mie Cho). I appointed her to the position of intern in the financial department. It's truly astonishing how knowledgeable and experienced she is with regard to financial matters that arise in the job. After working with us as an intern for a few months, I decided to recruit her full-time as a Financial Officer. She has since been promoted to the position of Senior Finance Officer at the BHF, working with international funding partners and leading the finance team.
ABE alumni already have the right combination of soft skills, in areas such as interpersonal and leadership which makes them stand out. Sophia’s problem-solving abilities in the practical work field are what impressed me the most about her. She is accountable for internal control, accounting, internal audit, and all catastrophic finance matters at BHF, as well as the management of resources to meet the organisation's missions.
