''My name is Mark Sinjani, based in Lilongwe, the capital city of Malawi. I am finishing my advanced diploma in Business Management and Human Resource Management and currently work as a Messenger at the Ministry of Agriculture.
I chose to study ABE because the qualification is recognised by many employers and professional bodies in our country. If someone holds an ABE qualification, they can enhance job prospects and provide a competitive edge in the job market. I studied my course here in Lilongwe at Lilongwe Technical College.
The public sees ABE as a valuable asset for career advancement, as they demonstrate a level of expertise and knowledge in business and finance. Employers especially the private sector here in Malawi like to hire ABE qualification holders because they believe they have a competitive edge in the job market, making them attractive to potential employers.
After completing my current ABE studies, my immediate plan is to continue my studies at university.
The best thing about studying with ABE is that the qualifications are internationally recognised which can be beneficial for students who want to work abroad or start their own business.
Upon studying with ABE, I have learned various aspects of business management which includes finance, marketing, human resources management, and operations. I have also learned how to analyse business situations, make informed decisions, and develop effective strategies.
For a successful study, I recommend a student should set clear goals, define what he/she wants to achieve and know the skills that he/she wants to develop. Having clear goals will help to stay focused and motivated.
My long-term career plan is to start my own business using the knowledge and skills that I gained from studying with ABE.''
