Business woman and entrepreneur, Su Su Myint Aung, was instrumental in growing her organisation from a start-up of just six people to a team of 60. Here's her story:
"I was born and bought up in a family in our local trading business environment in Mandalay, and have always had a strong inclination towards business studies since I was a child.
In 2011, I joined Nice Style Travels & Tours Co., Ltd. and worked as Executive Director. At that time, we started with a business of six people and now we have over 60 staff, with offices in both Yangon and Mandalay. We give one stop travel services to Myanmar and around the world. We have an international air ticketing department, a domestic air ticketing department, outbound tour department, inbound tour department, visa department, finance department, HR and admin department, and a business development department.
I am mainly responsible for high level management such as business planning, strategy formulation for each department and evaluation. Making a tour itinerary for different customers is one of my favourite areas of work. I develop new tour destinations, create tour packages and plan the marketing strategy. In 2017 November, “Daung Tea House”, Burmese traditional tea and food was developed as a new business unit and in 2019 October, we started new training school, Nice Style Vocational School, developing Human Resources in the Tourism Industry of Myanmar. I am one of the lecturers and the main person responsible for this school.
I believe in travelling as exchanging happy moments. When you buy something at a shop, you can get a product in your hand but travel is not like that. By travelling, you can only receive memories and moments. I enjoy helping people to create their happy moments and memories. When I see people are happy, getting knowledge, family bonding time, and learning new things, I am very pleased. So, I love my job as exchanging pleasure.
As a teenager in 2010, I was very inspired to study international business subjects and fortunately AIM Institute of Management (formally known as MHR Mandalay Campus) introduced ABE. I joined their Level 5 in Business Management programme. AIM’s comprehensive learning style and the good quality of ABE boosted me with in-depth knowledge of business. Under the guidance of ABE Top Paper Winner and founder and principal of AIM Institute of Management, Mrs. Myat Mon Zaw, I was inspired in business and in my future career development. As an outcome of this, when I moved to Yangon in 2013, I went on to further study of Masters Degrees. To be honest, the business knowledge from ABE supports me a lot when I am working with over 60 staff.
I would like to strongly recommend ABE for studying business and related subjects. ABE offers high-quality education and can help a young teenager go on to become a successful professional career person like me. I would also like to suggest choosing the right school and learning to receive the best quality education.
