''It is with great pleasure that I share with you a glimpse into my academic journey and professional aspirations.
My name is Surendra Latchman, an entrepreneur hailing from the vibrant country of Guyana in South America. My personal life is enriched by the companionship of my incredible wife, Amrita, and our two cherished children, Liam, a six-year-old boy, and Aspen, a one-year-old girl. The unwavering support and encouragement from my family, particularly my wife and son, have been instrumental in propelling me forward on the path of academic excellence.
In the year 2022, I successfully completed the ABE Level 4 Diploma in Business Management. This accomplishment served as a steppingstone for me to embark on the Level 5 Diploma, where my dedication and commitment were recognised with the prestigious top paper award for the Effective Financial Management unit in the March/May 2023 assessment.
My academic journey was greatly enriched by the exceptional support and guidance provided by the Nations School of Business and Management. The institution's competent lecturers and effective delivery methods, coupled with the direct and precise study guides from ABE, ensured a comprehensive understanding of the business management curriculum.
Throughout my educational pursuits, the programme managers at the Nations School of Business and Management demonstrated commendable engagement, fostering an environment conducive to learning and growth. As an entrepreneur, I found that the knowledge gained from the ABE programme was directly applicable to my business operations. Concepts such as Time Value of Money, Financial Ratios, and Financial Risk Management have become integral considerations in my daily business decisions.
I would like to take this opportunity to encourage aspiring young individuals to continue their academic development, even amidst entrepreneurial success. The dynamic nature of the business world necessitates a combination of traditional and contemporary methods, making ongoing education an asset.
